Homewoners were tired of the green roof that was on the house when they purchased it. Owens Corning Duration shingles in Black Onyx with code-compliant upgrades were installed.
After several years of repairs on their roof and skylight issues, the owners decided to upgrade to Certainteed Landmark Pro shingles in the color Espresso. They also chose to replace the old plastic bubble skylight with a new Velux solar shade unit and flashing kit. Other additions included building code-compliant gutter apron, drip edge, and ice and water shield. Even though the original chimney flashing wasn’t leaking, Lord’s Roofing Company decided to replace it to a traditional counter flashing and upgraded the ventilation from the old aluminum style to the newer shingle loafer ridge with matching ridge cap.
